Rather than stepping up to fairly represent his constituents,#RubberStamp Rep. Costello is turning his back on Pennsylvania and quitting this year, blaming his cowardice on a fairer district and an engaged electorate . He did not provide the representation his district wanted by voting with the administration 94% of the time despite the majority of his constituents not voting for this White House in November 2016.
Rep. Costello voted for the #TaxScam that jeopardizes our nation’s largest wildlife refuge by opening it to drilling even though he signed a statement opposing this oil drilling. This vote also strips health coverage from 13 million Americans
Rep. Costello voted to weaken background check system for gun purchases
Rep. Costello voted to weaken the rights of hard-working Americans to earn overtime pay for working more than 40 hours per week.
Although he is quitting, Rep. Costello is still a public servant and will serve out the rest of his term – we hope that he will vote in the best interest of #PA06 constituents. #WeDeserveBetter and we will make sure to continue to hold him accountable
