122 young people. Every 24 hours.
That’s how many DACA recipients are having their futures jeopardized daily, as they lose their status. Families and communities are feeling the effects right now. And, over the next four months, a total of 22,000 young people are at risk of losing protection since the administration ended DACA this fall.
Congress cannot wait another minute to pass legislation that permanently protects these young people. The DREAM Act is the only bill that keeps the promise our country made to these young people who bravely came out of the shadows.
We will line the sidewalk with 122 pairs of shoes to give a visual representation of the young people affected every 24 hours.
