Rise and Resist Benefit Concert

The concert, organized under the auspices of Upper BuxMont Rising, Rise Up Doylestown, and Indivisible Lambertville/New Hope, will feature inspiring local folk, jazz, and bluegrass musicians, including:

Guitarists Rolly Brown, a former national fingerpicking champion

Mark Cosgrove, a former national flatpicking champion and current member of the David Bromberg Band

Whirled Music with Phyllis Chapell and Ken Ulansey

Lambertville jazz singer and pianist Carol Heffler

Deva Troy, New Hope-area singer and songwriter

Pineville singer/songwriter LisaBeth Weber

The proceeds from the benefit will help support 3 organizations involved in immigration and sanctuary work, women’s health, and voter education/mobilization efforts.

Event sponsors comprise Rise Up Doylestown, Indivisible Lambertville/New Hope (ILNH), and Upper BuxMont Rising, which are dedicated to addressing critical issues facing the U.S. today, ranging from the environment; healthcare; civil rights; justice and ethics in government; income and gender equality; and other socio-political issues.
