Please join us to defeat this heartless bill. We can defeat it. Now is a critical moment to show that the public supports health care for all, and opposes this heartless bill.
After weeks of working in secrecy, Senate leadership released their health care bill last week and they are intent on forcing a vote on the bill this week—before the next recess. This is a moment when every additional voice and local action can help tip the balance of the political debate and again lead to delay and then the defeat of this heartless bill.
Please join together with friends and neighbors to raise our voices in this critical moment to reject this bill, which would result in thousands of Lancastrians—and millions of Americans—losing their healthcare coverage.
The public is overwhelmingly opposed to the House bill., and the Senate bill is just as bad. We know that Senator Casey strongly opposes this bill. We need to send a message to Senator Toomey and Rep. Smucker that Pennsylvania overwhelmingly rejects this bill.
With a razor thin margin in the Senate, we can defeat this bill. Several Republican Senators have been voicing their concerns about it., but McConnell and the Republican leadership are desperate to deliver this vote and victory so they can move ahead with the budget and tax reform — they’ll be attempting to cut deals all week to get to 50 votes.
