GOAL: Tell Senator Toomey to hold an in-person town hall, scheduled with more than 24 hours notice, to listen to his constituents.
BRING: A letter to Senator Toomey explaining why a town hall matters to you. Personal stories on why which issue(s) matter to you.
BACKGROUND:
Gather at your local Pat Toomey office for a special Tuesdays with Toomey: Town Hall Without Toomey. Voice your concerns about the current administration, as if Pat Toomey were holding an actual Town Hall. He isn’t, of course, but that won’t stop us from making ourselves heard.
Topics can include anything related to the current administration – healthcare, budget, climate change – speak to what matters to you. Local moderators will kickoff the event and take the questions you would ask Pat Toomey at a real town hall.
Come out and join the discussion. Bring a letter, bring a question, bring a story or just bring a friend. This is your chance to make yourself heard in a public setting, with or without (definitely without) Pat Toomey.
